Hi, i was just wondering if anyone knew how to do this...
Alright, on my website i have a page that i want to pop up, before my index page pops up, so basically, when some one goes to this page, www.painter.tk i want this page to pop up for a few seconds, www.geocities.com/painterrock/index1.htmlIf anyone can tell me the html or give me some tips, please reply asap,
Thanks,
Grant.

Rename your main page "main.html" and rename the page you want to show first "index.html". Put this in index.html:
<META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh CONTENT="5; URL=main.html">
That will redirect the browser to your main page after 5 seconds.

It will work, by showing the "popup" content in the one window for about five seconds, before replacing it with the main index page. As for a forced actual "popup", b0red is right to steer you away from that.
Popups are an annoyance, and most people with security concerns will block them automatically, thus making them useless as a means of displaying anything important.
Is there a special reason why you don't want the content of the "popup" incorporated into the main site on a proper page, if it is so crucial that everyine sees it?

safetsurf,
I have a font called BUFFIED which i want people to be able to see when they load the index page, however, if people do not have that font, they cannot view it,

omg, that refresh thing is sooo horrible. you should see how many popups popup when you do that. i dont how many it is, but its annoying.
