Solved How to get image title or subject with javascript

Specs: Windows 7

I am displaying some images inside my website, like <img src="/imagesfromusers/someimage.jpg" name="myimage"> .

These images have information stored in their description, like Title, Subject, etc.. ( properties that can be set by users )... for example in Windows one can select the image, click on Properties, and then view and change these attributes

How can i get these properties of the myimage using Javascript?

Two quick notes:
1.) What you're referring to is metadata. That should help you in your search.
2.) Ron properly linked to a search result page for JavaScript, but mentioned learning Java. Keep in mind Java and JavaScript are two different things despite their similar name.
I found a couple articles that outline how to do it using the ID3 Reader library, which is then enhanced by the EXIF library to post more specific metadata like the camera that took the picture. I'd bet that it can post the other metadata that you mentioned as well.

I also found this other article which describes using PHP to post the EXIF data.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily, but you're welcome to PM me as a reminder.
