Hi, I just need some help on searching my local computer's Apache files (htdocs) through other computers on my house's LAN with a Google-style search. Please reply if you can give me an explaination on how to do this. Thanks!

Hi,
I can think of two ways- one it to designate that folder as a 'share' for the network. You would then obviously be able to search it much as you search you own computer.

Or another method could be to download a PHP or ASP etc. script which acts as a search engine. There are surely many available for free (try google 'php file search' or something like this) The engine could be accessed not only from your LAN but from the web as well... though you could password protect that page.

Good luck,
Larry
