i want to know wat r the steps required to create an exe file or setup file of an application. i have developed a web project, it has .jsp files i want to make a setup of it so that when i run that setup the application is installed.
lol, you're totally in the wrong forum, this is web development, not programming. luckily, i happen to be a novice programmer so i could advise getting a program called visual basic. it has things for you to be able to create windows applications and has an easy interface to do so, it also has an option (including many others) to create a setup wizard. unfortunatly it costs money, but its the only one that i know of and its damn good for a novice. you could also post in the programming forum and see what they say.
To me, Web Development and Programming go hand in hand. The Web Development forum is a derivative of the Programming Forum, to accomodate the plethora of 'web-dev-only' posts. Maybe there should be one for homework!?! lol.
Anyhow... I'm sure you can use a freely available evaluation installation package as opposed to getting a IDE (unless you wanted to program, in VB).
