hi all,
i am trying to figure out how people achieve the amazing graphics used on flash sites.
I am sure they're not done on photoshop or the like. Are there programs u recommend for this? Or is photoshop really THAT powerful??

is photoshop really that powerful?
For general graphics, yes I think most people use photoshop.
For logo or graphics that will be placed everywhere (not just the web), Macromedia's Freehand or Adobe's Illustrator is what most people will use.
To achieve 3d effects, people use software like 3dmax.
An opensource alternative for photoshop is the GIMP.
Flash
You can draw directly in flash, but if you see photographic images in it, I believe it's imported from somewhere (like photoshop).
