hello all. i am hosting a website on my local box (DSL). i have a domain name, and i want that domain name to point to my local web server. how do i go about it? thanks.

1. You can use a free DNS provider, one I used when I hosted websites from my computer was: www.minidns.net

2. On the free DNS provider, create a record for your domain (and www.yourdomain) that points to your ip

3. On your registrar's control panel, change the DNS servers to the ones provided by the free DNS service

4. Wait 24-72 hours for the changes to take effect

Your domain should now be working. If it's not, post a reply and I'll try to be more specific.

By the way, do confirm that you have a static ip address as there are some dynamic DNS also available. You can use them in other case.
