I bought a domain from netwrok solutions and I am trying to transfer the dns server over to egproductions.dyndns.org which I created as a dynamic dns server. Its not letting me saying that I don't have the rights to do it because I may not own it. I cantacted dyndns and basically got the reply that I cannot use a dyndns.org dns server to be pointed to from my domain company. Why is this or better question how can I point my domain name to get to egproductions.dyndns.org so that I can use allow the use of the dynamic dns server to point to my home ip adress?

I'd recommend ZoneEdit.com for free dns services. Little downtime and the first 5 domains are free.
-Setup a account at zoneedit. -Add a domain and point it to your ip. -Set your nameservers from your Network Solutions domain manager account to what ZoneEdit suggests. -Install a dynamic dns updater (such as ddclient for linux) to check for a change in your ip which will then update the dns if required. ZoneEdit is almost instant update. Thats the benefit of it.
You could also use granitecanyon.com for more advanced dns. Hope this helps
