Hello all,

I have two websites - a commercial one, and my blog. I have submitted both sites to google sitemaps, and while one appears in search engine results (with other pages that are not on my sitemap - is this to do with external links? These pages are no longer on the server.), the other does not at all. I have even tried doing a site:URL query in google and I get zero results. Why is this? Do I need to make sure I have meta content? Shouldn't google at least show the main page?

Sometimes Google will penalize URLs, send them an e-mail asing if your website has been penalized, and if they could re-include it.

Or, it could just be a new site. In that case, just get some links from other sites pointing to it.

it is a bad idea to submit anything to search engines. let them find you it is a much quicker process believe it or not.
