FTP upload going super slow

The FTP on one of my machines is going extremely slow recently...I am getting .5 k/b if even that. I used to get 100+. My other computer gets 50-70 which is fine. Both PCs are wirlessly networked. The one that gets 50-70 is surprsingly the one that is wireless.
I really need this computer to work...anyone got any ideas? It seems like this problem came upon recently...
