Comment: Hello all, I have recently created an FTP site on Windows server 2003 and I have a user profile specifically for this FTP site. All works well, the user logs on with the profile/password and tnhey can create folders..view files..etc. I have now created another profile with more restricted access, designed just to let people view, no delete or create privedges, but it refuses to work. I have even given this new profile the same permissions as the original but it still refuses to log into the FTP folder. It does allow access to the folder that contains the HTML file that ahs the FTP folder BUT I get this error message when trying to log onto the FTP folder... "an error occured opening the folder on the FTP server. Make sure you have permission to access this folder. Details 550/ftpfoldername: The system cannot find the file specified ." Strange thing is that if I use an FTP program and log-on with this account it allows me access to that FTP folder. Any ideas ? Best regards, Mitch........

Reply: (edit)You might either have the browser set to *only* passive ftp, OR have it set with *no* option for passive ftp. THe ftp prog might be more catering to the site by automatically trying passive if active does not work. Good luck, Larry
