having trouble adding a forum to my site. Im using the free mini BB (minibb.com) forum.

i upload the files/folders exactly to instructions.

im supposed to run the /minibb/_install.php in my browser, but it spits out a 'database/config error' and i cant enter the setup of it!

any experience or help you can offer?

I don't know about minibb, but *most* of the forums have a config.php file that you can edit yourself. It may be named config.default, config.php.bak, or such.

Check the root folder and/or perhaps the installation folder to see if minibb has one and if so, edit it to include the connection details to the db server.
