Hi!
I am aware that this is a windows xp forum but i have a question regarding the creation of a button in flash and who better to answer it than u geniuses out there. I am making a flash neter page for my History website and need to now how to put a botton in that says "play intro" and makes the clip play, and a button that lets the viewer skip the intro and move onto the main page. In addition i need to have it so as soon as the intro is done it automatically jumps to the mainpage. PLEASE HELP ME!!! It is for a HW assignment.
Thanks.....Alex

I will only give a pointer in the direction, as this should be your own work since it is for a graded assignment.
1. To skip intro, think about how you make a movie go to a preset frame.
2. For the Play Intro, assuming you meant a Flash button, think the same again.
3. For moving on to the main site after the movie ends, think how you make automated actions when the movie reaches a preset frame, and how you link to web pages from within Flash.
To be honest, that is all the help you deserve. This is your assignment not ours, and if you can't handle Flash for this by your own efforts, then it is the wrong presentation medium for you.

Well two things....
1) My assignment was to make a website and it has already been graded and i recieve an A. I entered it in the county contest and won and now will represent my county in the California state history day finals. the flash production is just an add on.2) Dont be a bitch, this is a HELP forum and no on ecares to hear your bitch ass comments that arnt helpful.

OK, stop flaming him please.
Did you figure it out?
geturl("url") is to load a page
to go to a frame,
gotoandplay(1) for frame 1"Succes is journey, not a destination."

alexsworld247, I think we just saw one good reason why you don't deserve our help. Because you didn't get what you wanted, you turn nasty? What a poor attitude!
I hope you remember to take your manners with you when you "represent the county", unless you wish to disgrace them the way you just disgraced yourself here.
