Dreamweaver CS3 inserts extra lines

For some reason, Dreamweaver CS3 has started inserting extra, empty lines of code in Code View when I type text in Design View. For example, if I type a sentence in Design View, and look at it in Code View, Dreamweaver puts a word or two on one line, goes down perhaps 100 lines of blank space, puts another word or two, and repeats this process until the whole sentence is displayed. Needless to say, hundreds and hundreds of blank lines is not what I want! Any thoughts on why it is doing this?

I have heard some folk who traced this kind of thing to a sticky keyboard.

If Dreamweaver is a little quick and you type fast - it is worth trying a different keyboard.

Thank you, Mr. Red. I had suspected a keyboard problem, too, and had switched out keyboards to see if there was a difference, but there was no change. I actually figured out the problem. Something had caused the settings to change in Dreamweaver regarding "word wrap" or line length on the code view screen. I think it happened when I either cut and pasted a document from Word, or uploaded one of my pages from the Web. The setting had gotten bumped down to 10 characters a line and that's what caused the havoc I was experiencing. As soon as I put it up to where it should be (I forgot now, but in the hundreds) the problem was solved. Thanks for your thoughts!
