Hey Everyone,
Google is not very helpful right now with my
question so i though i would like to ask all the
awesome people at computing.net
I currently have a website but i want to get
a 100% free domain name. I don't really care
what the extension is (.com, .net, .org, etc). I
was just wondering if you guys could suggest
a website that offers 100% free domain
names. Not anything like (Whoa! Free domain
name but you pay for hosting) No, 100% free.

Thanks Everyone!

I've never heard of a free domain name. I think that's because unlike hosting which is a cost for the server and not account(hence free hosting). There is only a select amount of companies who registrar domain names and there is a fee no matter what so i don't think your going to get one. Sorry.

I've been really happy about using dot.tk free domain name
service. they also give a few other awesome services like tk
mail which is likely the best anonymous email service since
sliced cheese lol ;)... anyways a note about dot.tk there
address they give you puts your website into a frame but its
real simple to defeat it heres my code to do so...

Just make a extra page on your site and put this code into it
and change it to how you see fit

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0

transitional.dtd">

<head>
<BASE target="_parent">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
charset=utf-8" />

<title>Untitled Document</title>
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
function MM_callJS(jsStr) { //v2.0
return eval(jsStr)
}
//-->
</script>
</head>

<body
onload="MM_callJS('window.open(\'http://www.yoursite.freeho
st.com\', \'_top\', \'\', false);')">

<div align="center"><a
href="http://www.yoursite.freehost.com"
target="_parent">Loading... Click here after 10
seconds!</div>
</body>
