Hi guys, I am having a hard time figuring this out. I should know it but its been a long night. I have a basic hover command for a list of links going horizontally across the page. They are all set up the same and the hover is working fine for 7 out of eight of them. The one not working is the first one, the home link. If I change the link from "index.html" to anything else it works but when it is index it doesnot work. Any ideas.

Here is the code, this is linked to an external .css file.

<td width="150" background="navbac.gif">
Home<a></td>

The page is not up and running yet so I have no link. This is the exact same as the other links and they all work except this one.

Well, you conveniently left out whatever mechanism you're using to do the hover, but I do notice you didn't properly close the <a> tag.

Alright here is the code in the html file

<td width="150" background="navbac.gif">
Home</td>

here is the css code from an external file

a:link.margin {color: #800080;text-decoration: none; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt; font-weight:bold; text-align:center; background-image:url('navbac.gif'); background-repeat:repeat}

a:hover.margin {border:0px solid #FFFFFF;color:#800080; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt; text-decoration:none; font-weight:bold; text-align:center; background-image:url('navbacf.gif')}

I do not have this up and running yet so I have no link to provide.
