Creating an input web page

Specs: Windows 7
Okay, I am wanting to design a web page where the rest of the people that work with me can go there, and basically fill out the necessary things for a work order; building, tenant name, etc.

I know how to take care of the input boxes, dropdowns, etc. I know the html coding to design the page.

My problem is I don't know how to link the information to a table. For example, how do you link the page to a table, all the field properties, etc? Do I need to create an aspx page instead of a regular html?

Thank you all!

You'll need some form of server side processing to get the information out of the html form and into you database. CGI is probably the most basic, but asp, php, or jsp are all options.
