Brandon-
I'm not sure what you're looking for here. Your old host was the exception, not the rule. Most non-free hosts have no problem with you linking to video files...Bandwidth is bandwidth and space is space, regardless of what kind of data files are using it. All the hosts we mentioned in the last post will allow you to do what you want...We wouldn't have suggested them if they didn't.

I just set up streaming video via HTTP on one of my sites (hosted by hostforweb.com) yesterday. I did realvideo and wmv, but haven't tried quicktime yet. I'm sure tophosts.com and assortedinternet.com, both of which come highly recommended on this forum, also allow this.

I will say, as objectively as possible, that before you go with excellhosting you should browse this forum and look at the threads chaud has participated in. Chaud, as I've mentioned before, is a great graphic designer, but he doesn't have a very good track record for technical accuracy. Also, for $15 or $20/month, you should be able to afford a host with good 24/7 tech support, which excellhosting doesn't offer.

Luck,
-SN

I wouldnt do that...
Ill write my overselling thing again
Servers usually come with 1000gb bandwidth
Servers that are good cost 200$ a month or so
1000/15= say 66
200/66= 3.03
So even if they are on a cheaper server
150/66= 2.27

So what exactly do they live on?
48.18 profit before paying support

Oh yeah, 24/7 support
say we have one rep
6$ an hour (really alot more)
$6 x 24 hrs (No they dont work 24/7, other people take over)
6x24 is $144 a day
$4320 in a month, so that would put them into debt. Of course there are other costs involved in running a company as well, such as legal matters, insurance, and other things...

So tell me, how could they afford it?

Also, no 24/7 support here, and no we dont allow streaming. Puts load on the servers, and would bother other clients...
look at pair.com or midphase.com
they are good
