Hi, I do a number of small websites for friends, a couple of which are for bands. The only thing that ever needs changing is up coming gigs, and at the moment they just send me a weekly email and I update the necessary data. None of them are confident with HTML or Dreamweaver so this is the system we use. Is it at all possible to make an easy way to edit this data, without using a full on content management system? The data is all in a table, so basically I would like a way to delete a row of data, or enter a new one.

Does anyone know of a way of doing this?

Thanks for any help

the only thing i can think of is setting up a page in php whereby:

1. you can login at anytime
2. there is a form replicating your table ie. use text fields as cells
3. you enter the data in the form/cells
4. you can then save the contents of the form to a text file
5. your web page then loads the content of the text file into the table

if done properly, your non-savvy friends will be able to use it themselves

i have done something similar for customers who needed a news section or random text section on their web page

hope this helps

Thanks for the replies, I will look into the
php solution. I have used PHP but not really
to write my own stuff from scratch so I will
see what is about online.

I would use wordpress but I really wanted
something I could integrate into a current
site.
