There are sites that I can't see, but when I ask other people to try them, they say they can see them. For example, these ones:

Let's see if I can be more clear. I know of lots of people that can see those sites. I can't. It says that the server was not found and the page cannot be displayed. My browser is in Spanish, so if anyone speaks that language:
No se puede mostrar la página La página Web solicitada no está disponible en este momento. Puede que el sitio Web tenga problemas técnicos o que necesite ajustar la configuración de su explorador.
Just so we're clear, those pages are up and running, many people can see them.

Are there any sites outside of your PC and local network that you can see??
The message that you describe will display for every site that you try if your internet connection is messed up.

clau0198,
I've had this problem from time to time and it always ended up being my connection ISP's (Internet Service Provider) fault for not updating their local DNS servers correctly. I'm guessing that your friends that can see the sites aren't connecting through the same ISP as yourself. If you call the ISP and tell them to try to connect to those sites you'll get your answer. Basically, your local ISP has a DNS cache which should be updated daily but a lot of them get lazy or have get things misconfigured. When this happens all they have to do is flush their DNS and it will repopulate with current up to date information.
ciao, wired
