Hi
I have a website hosted on a shared server. The host has provided me the Cpanel for accessing the site for maintenance work (such as reading emails, ftp, Mysql management etc). The problem is that I am unable to access the control panel from my office PC. I can access it through my home PC but at my office the Cpanel does not open.
Let me elaborate a bit.
The way to access Cpanel is as follow.
I type www.mysite.com/cpanel in browser and press enter. A window style dialogue box appear and ask my to enter username and password. As I enter them and press OK, the control panel opens and I can do all kind of maintenance work on my site.
The problem is that when I type www.mysite.com/cpanel in the browser of my office PC and press enter nothing happens. And after 1 or 2 minutes the ‘page not found’ message appear.
I have broadband connection on both the PC (home as well as office). Further, I have two browser on both PC (IE6 and Mozilla).
I contacted my host with this problem but they say that it’s not a problem at their end. They say the Cpanel is opening perfectly well in their PCs so probably I need to check my browser at office. All other sites including those with ‘https’ extension are opening well in the browser, but somehow it is not opening the cpanel.
Please advise what should I do ?

Hi,
Your office's network blocks connection to some ports (cPanel's included).
If possible, get advice from the network administrator .
There might be some workaround like connecting through another machine (outside your office network) first, but this is not recommended unless you know the other machine is secure.
