Hi all,
I am debating whether I use WordPress, Drupal or Joomla for a Business Website.

The site is mainly a Brochureware one no fancy functionality required - in fact Word Press would be fine.

I guess where the concern since WordPress started as a Blogging tool, does it look unprofessional, will search engines treat it any differently.

WordPress started as blogging software and people still get that impression based on the name, but in fact it's a full out Content Management System. If you're creating your own theme or willing to adjust another theme here and there, you can make it work to pretty much any need.

Using WordPress makes no difference in how a search engine will handle it because the core is built with search engines in mind. It's all about the theme you use and other Search Engine Optimization techniques like using "pretty permalinks". For example, the default permalink structure is whereas I recommend
You would do that by setting the custom permalink structure to /%post_id%/%postname%/ and ensuring the Apache rewrite_module is enabled (likely by default by your web host). Although I prefer making SEO changes manually (because I love to code and learn about coding), the All in One SEO Pack plugin is very popular among all sorts of users, from beginners to long-term professionals making money off their website using WordPress as a back-end.

Since I guess that you'd be the only registered user, make sure you've disabled user registrations within the General Settings. As a backup in case you accidentally enable it, set the new user default role to Subscriber (the lowest level).

I can't compare whether WP, Drupal, or Joomla would be best, but that's because of the three I started with WP and love using it for my online business.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily, but you're welcome to PM me as a reminder.
