No chance. Web servers are configured specifically to stop that from happening. If it were to happen it would leave the web site open to hackers with even the most rudimentary tools.
Generally speaking the only way you are going to see a list of files on a web site is if the web owners have configured an FTP server to allow you to do that and that usually requires a user name and password.
Summary: does anyone know, or is it possible, to force a page to show an index of files (when BROWSING)? i know that if index.html isn't present, an index is shown listing the files, but can this list be "forc...
Summary: Thanks Michael, One problem - as I'm not hosting the content myself I cannot change the server settings - I would therefore need to create index.html and do some sort of auto forwarding to index.shtml...
