Blocking sites in Firefox

I am running FireFox web browser. Unlike IE, I don't seems to able to find a way to block someone (my kids) from accessing certain websites. Does anyone know? I would appreciate any help.

There are loads of programs out there just for that purpose. netnanny is the one that first comes to mind, but there are others as well.

I started using HOST file to block sites. Can I use the HOST file to block msn and yahoo massenger.

Only if those applications are connecting through domain name. And then, of course, you would have to know what domain name they are using.
