I am new to working on the sharepoint technology. I have the task to complete task : take the backup & restore site collections in sharepoint & project server. I got 2/3 methods for doing that. first I am using the stsadm backup & restore command. I have successfully done the backup of the site collection on the one machine( .dat file of backup ). But when I use the restore method on other machine I got the message No content database are available for this operation. Create a content database, & try the operation again. To create a content database "click content databases" on application management page, select the web application to use, And then click "Add a content database". Plz guide that............ Also, provide the steps & requirement for restoring the site from backup
