Hi, I am just starting to realise I dont know what I am doing!!!
I installed apache to allow me to do some dynamic web pages.
I do not want to view these web pages on any other computer as yet.
I have a main PC, wired to a wireless router, my son has another pc wired to the wireless router. I also have a laptop with wireless connection. It is this I am trying to set apache up on.
Each computer has sygate firewall installed and runningI followed the install instruction and was asked for my network domain name server name and admin email etc.
It gave me a default name "belkin", which I changed to my home.com and server name as serverhome.com
The apache service is running and connected, however when I type HTTP://localhost/ I get page cannot be displayed error.
Help

Where is your index.html file, ie your home page? It has to be in this location (and it should to be named index.html):
C/Apache/htdocsAlso, when you want to view your index.html locally, in the browser type in:
http://127.0.0.1/Also, the main configuration file can be very difficult to twick so it works right, specially if you have cgi scpits. I can send you my config file if the above suggestions make no difference for you...
