Alright, I have another RSS question. This thing is driving me nuts. Maybe I am just meant not to understandthis at all. There are no books on it and the net does not offer everything i need. So here are my questions....

How do I take an individual news story and place it on my website and make it update when the actual story updates?

Is there a program I have to use and if so what is it and where does it go (in my server, in my html code?

If I do need a script to run thsi are there any free ones on the net.

Please, this is bugging me out, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you are talking about showing an RSS feed from another site on your site, and when the other site updates, your site updates, then you will need an RSS reader on your site. RSS is simply XML, so you just need a script or segment of code which will interpret the RSS (XML) and show it on your site.

Depending on the language, you can find many of these. I have written my own in the past and there are many code examples for ASP, ASP.NET, etc.

I was unsure if you wanted to create your own RSS feed or use an RSS feed from another site on our site for dynamic updates. If this is the case, Google "RSS Script <website language>" where <website language> is the language in which you want the RSS script to be.
