Animated GIF editing question.

Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit, 3.0Ghz Pentium / 3GB
Not sure if this is the right forum for this, if its not please point me to it. Anyways, I have a problem:

I am currently in the process of creating a forum signature, which consists of a static image, I then have a much larger image that I wish to animate, basically, all I want is to start out on the large image, scroll downward the entire image from top to bottom then flash and then flash to the static image, how would I go about doing this?

dunno what programs you're using, but I've had good luck in using Benton Movie gif and Windows' paint program. Other imaging programs work well too.

For the gif, make each of your frames in paint (adjust any overlapped images in each frame), and then paste the frames into bmg; set the frame parameters as you wish, and then create the gif.
