Hey guys, I was wondering, if you create a graphic in photoshop and then save it for the web but later on need to go back to it and change it, can you somehow turn it back into layers. Because after I save it it becomes a permanent picture, nut if I want to say change the backgrounf color then I am pretty much outta luck. Any help would be appreciated.

The answer is . . . no.
Different file formats support different properties. For instance, gif files support transparency while jpeg images do not. The image types for the web (jpeg, gif, png) do not support layers. Once you convert an image to that format then the layers are gone.
You should always keep copies of your images in thier native format. When you need to modify an image go back to the original to make the changes, save to the native format and then save for the web.

As mentioned above, save your master files in a format that retains all your layers etc (such as .psd) and then convert to jpg etc.
