You don't need flash to accomplish this.

Here are some pages that might help:

http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/examples/container/keylistener.html

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/author/dhtml/reference/properties/accessKey.asp

hello again, so i read abaut "AccessKeys" , dreamweaver as a "field" when we create a link that let us set the Acesskey , so this would be perfect, but theres one thing that may not totally perfect for me and im just checking if theres no possibility to have a solution, ..we have to use alt+ with the key we choose, so we can open the link, not possible to get rid of the alt+ and just press the key to open the link? .. other think is ..it seems i can´t use the kay "enter" or "esc" or "space" ..just alphabetic and numbers .. no way i can use "enter" with this Acesskeys option??
thanks.

..and i see if we hit "tab" key in the site , it "follows " the various links i have in the site ..and so if i hit "enter" it opens the link .. so i guess no, this isn´t possible, i doubt it, but by any chance can we make a linkwe want/choose already selected (like when we do tab)when the site loads ?

You need to sloooooow down.

With regard to response #4 you must not have looked at the first example I posted. It does not use the Access Key.

As for the Tab/Enter issue, as long as the user does not hit tab first, the enter key does not have a link selected to open.

Just use a key listener (as in the first example) and have it do whatever it is you want when whatever key you want is pressed. There are no "tools" in DW to do this for you. Look at the code in the first example and modify it for your needs.
