I have a website setup and it has a bout 300 members. I expect a membership explosion by year's end because I have 4 other sites setup that are similar or have information similar to portions of this site. The people know that this single site will replace the other 4. THe site has been up for about 2 months, so I expecr a lot more members by the sixth and twelth months.

I was reading your article on adding chat to your site, and that is what I need help with. I need to add chat and instant messaging to this site, but I do not have my owner server, my host doesn't allow telnet/ssh access, and I can't use scripts that require thier own database. I need it to use the database my site already has so my users don't have to login or register seperately for the chat or IM. I need people to just click a link to go to chats or open IM and it automatically logs them in using thier username from the site. The site is completely done in PhP, so I was trying to use PhpMyChat but have not had much success. Since I do not have my own server, I assume my only option was to change hosts or just something web-based like they do on a site I frequent http://www.collegeclub.com

I have been looking all over the internet since I first started setting the site up, and I can't seem to find one person who knows anything about even the basics of chat and instant messaging. The only way I got the little knowledge I have now was to contact commerical vendors like digi-net(digi and Hubz-IM) HELP ME PLEASE. Adding chat and instant messaging are 2 of the 3 keys to my site reaching the plan I have for it.
