unzip without using unzip command

is there any way to unzip a zipped file without using unzip command as unzip command is not installed in my system . whenever i type unzip <filename.zip> its says unzip not found. i tried jar -xvf filename.zip but the output file doesnot contain full data i.e. data is lost and is not properly formatted.
