I AM USING WIN98 & DOS622 I HAVE A UNIX INSTALLATION CD HOW CAN I INSTALL THE UNIX IN MY PC . I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT UNIX.

What type of UNIX is it? I take it is either Linux or a non-commercial personal licence of product such as SCO UNIXWARE, OpenServer or Solaris. If it is Linux, the installs vary depending on the distribution. If it is a Red Hat distribution you can mount the CD in DrOSs and then use the RAWRITE utility in the \DOSUTILS directory to write a boot disk (the image is in the \IMAGES directory and is called BOOT.IMG. UNIXWARE and OpenServer boot ship with boot disks that load the CD drivers required to complete the install from the CD. Hope that helps James

Dear Sir, I wanted to learn how to install unix OS and how to do networking under unix operating system. I do not have any idea about unix operating system. i can do networking under NT/98/95 and 2000. Please help me installing the Unix operating system , also tell me the types or Unix operating system.
