Comment:
When I try to boot up DEC Unix on Alpha box I get error "cant open dkb0.0.0.2.1 -flags a"
I think it's my system disk. Any ideas what's going on?

I'm more of an HPUX/Solaris/Linux guy but it sounds like the BIOS can't find the boot block or the boot block can't find the / partition. Do you have any kind of 'rescue' disk? So that you may re 'label' the disk?

If it's not booting, maybe you can just reinstall the boot sector. Typically, there is a boot sector installer, called "installboot", and a boot sector image. Check your man pages for correct syntax.
I not familiar with DEC Alphas, so any manuals you might have for more in depth help.
Good Luck!
