I have a problem when I install the UNIX SCO 5.05 server. I try to install the system from the CD-rom. when the computer does the POST it detect the MEM, hardware devices and the the bootable CD_rom that I put in the CD rom drive, but It won't do the UNIX 5.05 installation , loading the system from the CD-rom. it just stuck there. I suspect that it has a hardware problem and I try to install the system with minimal hardware needed for the insatlltion ( no floppy and tape drive) but it won't help. please help. Thanks

Sonny,

A remote digonstic isn't easy, especialy without detail information.
Is there a error message on the screen when it hangs ?
Which error messages was showen before ?
What is the last message at the screen ?

If you say you expected an hardware error then sepecify which kind of hardware you use.

Why do you expect an hardware error ?

No RISK no fun

Frank
