Subject: tar to cd and or flash drive SCO 5
OS: Vista Home Premium
CPU/Ram: 1024 MB DDR 3.2 GHZ
Model/Manufacturer: Gateway GT5428
Comment:
I have an SCO 5.0.5. Pentium2 machine I want to pull files out of. When I put a cd in the drive and type tar tvf /dev/cd1 I get a message "blocksize=20". When I type tar cvf /dev/cd1 TEST. I get "cannot open /dev/cd1"
When I put my flash drive in the USB slot it does not light up. I have not worked with SCO
or UNIX since before the turn of the century.
