I recently received a Silicon Graphics O2 computer from my wife's school as it was never used. It was just collecting dust. It is in perfect condition . It probably only has a few hours of use on it.
I worked on SGI years ago as an image retoucher and wouldn't consider myself as an UNIX guru, but I sort of have a bond with this machine. I'd hate to just 'give' the machine away. I am wondering if this machine could serve a practical purpose at home. Does anyone have any ideas on what I might be able to us it for?
I know software can be expensive for these machines as well. Any good freebies or reasonably priced software around?
