hello friends, how to run sftp thgh programming language. like user command of ftp is there anything similar in sftp so that i can login without being prompted for password.
What are the options available with sftp so that i can give password with it. My requirement is to login with sftp such that i can give hostname, user, password along with sftp command. i should not be prompted for password.

I have same problem. I am trying to run sftp in batch mode where password can be passed from script not interactively. I heard you can use 'expect' command to pass password. I do not know how.
