Reply: (edit)I believe I'm right in saying that if you have set up Samba correctly on the Linux side, then the share will be available in NT through Network Neighbourhood. If not, you will not have set up Samba correctly.

Reply: (edit)What Wayne said should hold for most UNIX/UNIX-like OSes: SMB (samba) is native in Windows. Perhaps you're thinking of NFS shares? Anyway, if its SMB shares you're interested in, you should note that for browsing within "Network Neighborhood" you'll likely need to set up Samba as a "NT Domain" and do USER shares. This will require that the login names & passwords be the same on both machines - things can get rather complicated... For simple file exchanges you can just share files/folders in Windows and use the 'smbclient' tool (from UNIX end) and ftp (from Windows end) ; an FTP server will of course need to be enabled on the UNIX box. You'll find much more info at www.samba.org Beaker
