I have -never- used an IBM RS/6000 or ran/used AIX. How do I boot from the CD? (I have used BSD/Linux, but on PCs.

See if your box has a key switch. If it does, turn the switch to the icon of the wrench then turn the power on. With the install CD in the drive you should get a menu option like the above.

If you don't have the key/switch, reboot the server and press F1 when you hear the beep. A menu will scroll across the screen horizontally. One of the icons will be a boot icon. You can change to boot from cd in there.
