Comment:

I have a machine running Solaris 2.6. In the /var/adm/adm/messages file appears many times the following error:

rsh[27767]: can't get stderr port: Resource temporarily unavailable

Can anyone help me???
Thanks

It looks as though you are exceeding the limit on the maximum number of allowed rsh port connections.

I had this problem a while back.

I tried allsorts to get the rsh command working. In the end I rebooted the server and Would you believe it?

i tried the rsh command again after the reboot and worked first time.

Worth a try?

Scott

Hi Scott
I try rebooting the server but the error still appears. The rsh donīt fail always, fails in specific moments.
