Hi,

Can anyone help me with the following ? :

I want to mail from SCO-UNIX command-prompt and attach a file.
I use MAIL username and mail the file to a Lotus NOTES-system.
The file now gets embedded in the body of the mail-message !. I want it to be seen as an attachment, so i can open it in Ms-Excel.
Is this possible ?
if so, what command should i give to send a file as an attachment (and not embedded as the mail-body) ?

Thanx in advance
Erik.

I'm doing exactly the same project, sco to notes. What I have found is that if you use straight forward mail ie. from the command prompt or through 'scosh', this is not MIME compliant and therefore will not recognise attachments properly.
However, if your are running Openserver 5.0.0 or greater, you can use X (scologin) to view or send the attachments in Excel format.
I've got a more complicated format, I've got to find a util that will enable me to read Wordpro attachments under SCO.
Need more info email me.
