Printer Port in Sleep Mode

OS: Solaris 2.5.1
CPU/Ram: ULTRA 5

Seems our printer port keeps falling a sleep, resetting the printer doesn't help, a reboot of the server seems to fix the problem. Looked for some type of patches and only found printer patches in Solaris 2.6. Any suggestions other than rebooting my server everytime I need to print? Thanks in advance.
