Question: Is the printer being used as an IP print device already??

If so, do you know the print queue name?

If so, check the /etc/hosts file as the printer and it's ip address MAY be listed in there.

OR try this command:
lpstat -pDEVICE_NAME -l

Where DEVICE NAME is the print queue name. This will show the setup of the printer queue. The IP address MAY be there.

Good Luck.
Leigh
