portmapper error

i installed sco openserver 5 on a new system and was able to connect via telnet. But when i did a full restore from the old server backup. (OOOPs)then i started getting the error "warning:portmapper on server ip address is no responding" on the server itself and i wasn't able to connect via telnet

got it fixed.
I reconfigured the network card which had been replaced with the old nic config.
