Partitioning during install

Hie

I have a 30 GB Harddrive and would like to partition it about half way between Unix and Windows 98. I keep getting errors about the boot section not being within the 1024th cylinder when i try boot the dos partition. I have tried creating the dos parttion first and vice versa with no luck.
