I can tell you the weaknesses of Windows 9.x. Windows, compared to Unix, is a piece of crap. Windows crashes all the time. The memory managment is crappy compared to Unix or OS/2. Windows is for people that don't know jack about thier computers. Windows does have their good points, like huge program and driver support. I'm a OS/2 v2.1 user and proud of it. People that want diverse machines should use operating systems like Unix, OS/2, or Beos. Some versions of Windows are very good, like Windows 3.0,3.1, and Windows ME.

Unix was originally created by AT&T Bell Labs in 1969. It was created by programmers for programmers. UC Berkley added networking capability allowing the system to be used in a LAN.This was the BSD Unix enhancement. Unix is stable, adaptable in uses, and free. Working in Unix is similar to working in DOS command line. No GUI, all business. Kinda boring but very capable.
