NIS slave on solaris7 and 8

I have a solaris 7 NIS master.
I established a solaris 8 slave.
Do I need to update the Master that it is now has a slave? how?

If you try to configure a server as a NIS slave, you should make it to NIS client first. Add all the name information of this machine to the NIS master. Use "ypmake" command on the master to rebuild the NIS database. Then issue "ypinit -s mastername" to make it to a salve.
