Hi..... I am new to unix. I had configured local printer and was successful in configuring it. But now I want to configure the printer which is on network and connected to the DLink print servers. As you know print servers has its unique number or ip whatever we call as . When I add its ip into route table using the command route add and found it in the list of the routing table with the command: # netstat and then I tried to ping the ip address,I get teh reply... but I am not able to print. When I give the print command , the command runs without any error messages but i didnot get the printout. what must be the fault???
please guide or could anybody give step-by-step procedure to configure the network printer???
