I need to setup a mass email server on either linux or freebsd. I will only use X windows for admin, but when not admining x will be shut down.

I was going to use Qmail for the robustness and ability to create (dynamically!) email alias's(forwarders). We want to give our members and email alias from our domain name.

Some people say Postfix would be better. ANy recommendations! Before I read "Life with Qmail" I would like to know I am not wasting my time. I would rather spend the time reading something like "Life with Postfix" if I am bound to use that instead.

Thanks for the help!

ps. server will be

dual 1.8ghz P4 Xeon
with 2 gig ddr ram
Dual 36 gig scsi
raid
dual gig nics
