as the name says "WINMODEM" they will only work under Windows.. there is no support for winmodems at all under any unix os

There is some out there. none for USR modems yet, but there is for other ones. Since a winmodem relies on windows software to run it, what they have to do is make the software ported to linux. A/W hopefully we see something soon

I have a Zoltrix winmodem with a Rockwell chip and I was hoping that someone might know someplace where I could get linux drivers for it. (If there are any linux drivers for it out there)

I have a HSP 33.6 winmodem (FCC ID MTQGW-PCT2814I).

I need know if this modem works with Linux.

Hi!

I have a WinModem that runs under Windows
but doesnt work under Linux, but they said
that if I turn it upsidedown and sang
"Row Row Row your boat" 13 to 15 times I might get it running.

everyone knows winmodems are bad...but some of us are stuck with them until we win the lottery or get a raise. so if anyone knows anywhere to get drivers or workarounds for a Supramax 56i PCI winmodem please let me know!

Stop your f---ing blabering and goto the linux website...you'll find there are links for US Robotic and other assorted winmodem drivers...
I have a stupid winmodem and it won't f---ing work so stop asking ppl if they know s---.If everyone is going to keep asking no one will ever find anything out...

Ok, I got a "56k PCI Lite Modem" on COM4, i have it set right and stuff, but when i try to use it i get some "modem not responding" like error.. I talked to a few people about it and most said it was probably a WinModem.. assuming their are drivers i may be able to use in linux to get this to work, i really wouldnt mind having some info sent to my email,
